Determining Piston Compression Height

With this formula, you can determine the compression height of your pistons.

  1. a = Block Length (centerline of crankshaft to deck surface)
  2. b = Stroke of Engine
  3. c = Rod Length
  4. d = Deck Clearance

Formula: a - (b / 2 + c) - d

Example: 9.025 - (3.50 / 2 + 6.00) - .025 = 1.250
